The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo was proud to partner with Wade & Associate Group for the Soul Country Music Star (SCMS) competition in 2025, supporting their mission to highlight emerging Black country music artists nationwide. The 2025 season included regional events in Memphis, Dallas–Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and the DC/Maryland/Virginia region, all leading to the National Finals at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to the 2025 SCMS Winner, Nathaniel Dansby "Mr. Bow-Leggs", who delivered an outstanding performance at the Soul Country Music National Finals and Music Festival.
